If you put a 5x5 widget on the screen, the actual display of the widget uses closer to 2.5x2.5 size, and resizing the widget doesn't accomplish anything. The closest I've found is Pure Grid Calendar Widget, which does everything we need - except scale correctly. Most calendar widgets focus on being an agenda, and I really need one that focuses on being a calendar. I've looked at a ton of widgets that are already out there, and somehow none of them seem to fit the bill quite right (which is really surprising since I feel like these needs are pretty modest). If it has quick add, there must be a way to select which of multiple calendars to add the event to. Very useful if this could scroll so that we can glance ahead or add an event to a date next month. If not, we could use a second agenda widget - but it seems like integration into one would benefit.

It'd be great if it was a calendar view plus an agenda view, on the side or below (depending on orientation). Double preferably with color coding according to the color assigned to that calendar (we have four distinct calendars we share, and this makes it easier to keep track of different kinds of event). I bought some magnetic knife holders which do an excellent job of securely mounting the tablet to the fridge, as well as provide a way to hide the cable due to their design. Flashed Cyanogenmod 10 onto it (a little slow, but gives us access to features that the stock 2.3 firmware lacked). I have an old Galaxy Tab 7 (original generation) which has been collecting dust, and I'm repurposing this. Well rather than buy a good fridge with what amounts to a built-in tablet that will be outdated in a year or two, we decided to just mount an actual tablet on the front.

My use case is this: my wife and I have been looking at new refrigerators, and the Samsung ones have a slick UI built into the screen (not sure if it's Android based or not, but if it is, it's heavily customized with no Play store). I don't feel like these are totally off the wall, but somehow nothing out there seems to support it. I'm on the hunt for a good Android calendar widget with the following requirements.
